I'm a journalist with a keen interest in Chinese history and culture.
Experience:
I have reported for The Orange County Register, The Arizona Republic, and The Seattle Times, and have worked as a copy editor at China Daily, China's English-language newspaper, and China Central Television International, both in Beijing.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, master's degree in China Studies from the University of Washington, master's in journalism from American University in Washington D.C.
From Lisa Chiu:
A decision to work in Beijing in 2002 completely changed my outlook on the world. Living in China, I witnessed the country change by the minute as it sped ahead with record-breaking growth. When I returned to the States, I sought to learn more about this country and pursued a degree in China studies with a focus on modern Chinese history. China is a fascinating country with 5,000 years of history, and I'm so pleased to share its culture with others.
